What is the Difference Between Epithalon and MOTS-c? Mitochondrial Anti-Aging

Anti-aging research often groups the three together: telomeres, metabolic sensing, and mitochondrial structure.

A pineal tetrapeptide. Research relates it to TERT/telomerase and circadian rhythm. Evidence is mainly preclinical and regional practice.

A mitochondria-encoded micropeptide. Activates AMPK, promotes muscle glucose uptake, and is described as an “exercise-mimetic” direction.

Targets cardiolipin, stabilizing mitochondrial cristae. Human studies (e.g. the MMPOWER series) advance in specific myopathies; results must be read by indication.

How It Works in the Body: Layered Comparison

Metabolic sensing MOTS-c AMPK
Mitochondrial structure SS-31 Cardiolipin

The mechanisms sit at different layers (telomeres/metabolic sensing/mitochondria); research often discusses them side by side, which does not equal additive effects.

The blend NM530 pairs NAD+ with MOTS-c along a “energy coenzyme + metabolic sensing” line, which is not interchangeable with Epithalon’s telomere layer or SS-31’s structural layer. For circadian-rhythm discussion see deep sleep; aging background in growth hormone and aging.
